	Giovanni Gambino was born in Palermo in 1951 and lives and works there, as well. After graduating with a degree in Architecture, he began his career in art teaching plastics at the E. Catalano Art School of Palermo. Primarily a sculptor, Giovanni utilizes a variety of materials and techniques in his work. One such eclectic work is his sculpture, Un Graffito alla Memoria”, (Graffiti for the Memory), created in 1994 for the entrance of the Caserna CC of Monreale. Mr. Gambino’s most recent works, in terracotta, are devoted to landscape and nativity scenes, in representation of the art of the crèche. Giovanni Gambino nasce a Palermo nel 1951, vive e opera nella stessa città. Ha compiuto gli studi artistici a Palermo e si è laureato in architettura nella stessa città. In atto insegna discipline plastiche presso il Liceo Artistico “E. Catalano” di Palermo. Pittore e soprattutto scultore, predilige nelle sue opere l’uso di diversi materiali che utilizza con tecniche miste e polimateriche. Ha partecipato a mostre in Italia e all’estero. Nel 1994 ha realizzato l’opera Un Graffito alla memoria, scultura polimaterica per il piazzale antistante la Caserma dei CC di Monreale. La sua ultima produzione artistica è dedicata ai Paesaggi della memoria ed alle Natività, opere in terracotta nell’arte del Presepe.
