who graduated in Foreign Literatures from the University of Palermo,
has translated works from French and Russian authors. Many of
her paintings are inspired by her travels throughout Europe and
the East. She began her career as a painter in the 1970’s

other Italian cities, including:
Rome, Milan, Turin, Florence, Trieste, Prizzi and Castronovo.
Her works can be found in private and public collections in Italy,
Greece and the USA. She painted the scenery and designed the

I have seen Rosa Ponte’s outstanding works
of art. She is truly artistic, creative and colorful. Her
paintings reflect a deep and rich thought into all that she evidences.
The colors are vibrant, alive and festive. Truly a grand
artist! And,
she is ever so proud and reflective of her rich and colorful
work.

Gilda Gubiotti was born in Palermo. A student of Michele Dixit Domino and Albano Rossi, she began to work as an artisan jeweler and costume designer for the theater at a very young age. By 1978, she was studying with Lilloni and Michele Cascella in Milano. Inspired by their work and their
ability to express the harmony of nature, she began to paint not only landscapes but also Sicilian scenes and gardens, emerging herself in nature and the portrayal of Mother Earth. More...
Mario Schifano (Homs,
September 20, 1934 - Rome, January 26, 1998) is considered by many as a leading figure in the Italian Pop Art and as Andy Warhol's heir, even if he himself did not wish to be framed by any artistic movement, and is one of the originators of Italian and European Contemporary Art. He is mostly remembered by many of his students and fans in his exhibited performances in which he created large scale paintings in acrylic and enamel. Schifano was a passionate student of new pictorial techniques and among the first to use the computer for creating works. He developed his images on the computer and then transferred them on emulsified canvases which he called, "computerized canvas". He was one of the many artists who answered the call by Luigi
Corrao, at that time Mayor of Gibellina, for the reconstruction of the town that was destroyed along with other villages of Belice Valley by the earthquake of 1968. In 1984, he made and donated to the Gibellina's Contemporary Art Civic
Museum theCycle of Naturevcomprising of ten large
canvases. He prophetically said: "Perhaps I had given
the people of Gibellina something that in time will become
their own."More...
Mario Schifano (Homs, 20 settembre 1934 – Roma, 26 gennaio

Continua…
